Meet Felicia (OTA)
Felicia Keith-Williams (She/Her/Hers)
Occupational Therapy Assistant
Felicia completed her Honours B.A. in Physical Education at Brock University and graduated in 2017. This was followed by receiving a Diploma in OTA and PTA at Niagara College, graduating in 2021. Previously, Felicia’s involvement included working with children experiencing complex neurodevelopmental impairments. Most of this involvement was through Autism Ontario, Brock’s summer Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Camps and Brock University’s special needs program entitled Supporting Neurodiversity through Adaptive Programming (SNAP). In the most recent years, Felicia’s exposure to varying traumatic injuries has increased by engaging with one of Niagara’s main rehabilitation hospital, Hotel Dieu Shaver; where she volunteered alongside Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists specializing in a specific therapeutic framework to help patients with their healing and recovery. Additionally, Felicia has experience with providing therapy for individuals with traumatic injuries, neurological symptoms, orthopedic injuries and mental health deficits. Felicia continues to gain insight regarding her clients as well as supporting their needs in their homes and the community.
What Felicia loves about being an OTA is being a part of the process of enabling others to participate in meaningful activities. Additionally, Felicia loves watching her clients become closer to achieving their therapy goals and being a part of their journey. Lastly, Felicia ensures that her execution of therapy is client-centered in order to meet the needs of her clients.
Felicia enjoys coffee, matcha, visiting health food stores and loves being physically active.
